Serial Extension
Will I be able to participate in the apple memory slot repair ext Prog. for Powerbook G4 if I bought it used?
I recently got a 15in 1.67GHz Powerbook g4 used on eBay, and the serial number of the book is included in the Memory Slot Repair Extension Program. I haven’t had any of the problems listed, but plan on upgrading my memory to 2gb, so I’ll soon be able to find out if in fact one of the slots do not get recognized.
Anyone have experience with having bought a used Apple computers and participating in these recall/exchange/extension programs?
It seems that I was able to get the recalled battery exchanged (I’ve yet to get it shipped to me, so we’ll see) so I don’t think I’ll have a problem with the repair program but I want to be sure I’ll be able to get the memory slot repaired if I end up having problems with it. thanks
