channel 12 still showing as analog on a digital tv?
I bought a new digital tv & antenna. After moving the antenna and doing several channel scans, I now get channel 5, 9 and 19. I can’t get channel 12 and I get a message my digital channel strength is low, but the tv manual doesn’t tell me how to adjust the channel strength. Thanks for any help you can give me.
in response to ripcord, that is exactly what I did. did the channel scan through the tv menu. Sorry I didn’t make myself clear. Any other ideas?
The only way you’d be able to improve signal strength is by adjusting your antenna. Sometimes if you adjust it to get a specific station, other stations will go away. There was a guide on one of the dtv web-pages that showed a graph of what stations were near your location and where they were relative to you. Theoretically, that would allow you to point your directional antenna to get the best signal for a station. That means you’d always have to be adjusting your antenna to get the stations you want. It’s a p.i.t.a.
Once you find the position for the optimum antenna position for a particular station, you could diagram it or take a picture, so you can remember what is needed to get that channel.
