A Good Free Audio Recorder Without a Watermark of any kind?
Okay, So I’m doing a project where I need a audio recorder to record stuff off of my computer directly. And I need a FREE decent quality recording program capable of at least 5 minutes of straight recording. Does anyone know of one? Note that it must not make watermarks or make random noises and must be free… I just want to record and get it done lol. Thanks.
Audacity can do that. .
To record from the drive select “stereo mix” or “what you hear” (depending on soundcard) from the drop down list at the top right of the program. You may need to adjust the recording level with the control to the left of the selection window to prevent distortion.
If you’re running Vista and the stereo mix/what you hear selection is grayed out follow this suggestion from another user:
Vista: Click Start> Control Panel. Select Manage Audio Devices in the Sound Section.
Click the Recording Tab and if the Stereo Mix Option is missing right-click on an empty part of the window and left-click on Show Disabled Devices. Right-click on the icon and select Enable. This will enable recording of sound coming through your speakers.
It appears accurate but I’m on XP so I can’t check it.
